OBC Local Member Networks: Friendships, Networking, and Cost-Savings

Got your LMN on?

OBC Local Member Networks (LMNs) are a collaborative group of competitors that share a uniform purpose. Working together, local operators and managers meet periodically to share ideas, exchange information, collectively market their purchasing power and spread awareness of the executive suite industry.

The New York LMN (OBCNY) is the largest of the LMNs, with 40 member locations paying dues to the group. “We’ve shared the cost on ads in the New York Business Journal, negotiated as a bloc with several vendors that service our offices and of course we’ve all become good friends,” said Joe Detrano, President of OBCNY. The New York LMN meets every other month and regularly attracts 25 attendees to their meetings, held alternately in centers or area bars. “LMN’s come in all shapes and sizes,” said Isabel Garcia, Board Liaison to the Local Member Network Committee.
