The President’s Message

Carolina Rendeiro
Dear friends and colleagues,
The new year brought with it new changes to OBCAI. Your Board of Directors has been busy working behind the scenes to make certain that your organization is fine-tuned.
Since becoming President, I have had the privilege of speaking to many of you, some in person - others by phone. I have had the opportunity to visit with the International Associations in Paris; attend the LMN – OBCANY meetings in New York; as well as the LMN Canadian meetings in Toronto in January, where we had video participation from across Canada; and finally the South Florida LMN is off and running. In March I will be travelling to Chicago to attend the LMN meeting there, and in May, I will be attending the BCA meetings in London and the Spanish Association meetings in Seville, Spain.
Your Board of Directors will be meeting in Miami, Florida, where we will be reviewing the past five months, our goals and where we currently stand with them and looking ahead to 2011. While here in Miami the Board will be staying at the 2010 convention site and Richard and I will be putting the final touches on our conference venue.
I want to assure all of you, that all of us serving on the Board are here to strengthen our Association going forward, but we cannot do this alone - we need all of you as owners of this Association, to help us along the way. We need your participation in our Webinar series, as well as your participation at conference this year in Miami, Florida. We need you to renew your memberships and most of all to stay engaged on a local level through your LMN’s or to join one of our many committees. This year we have sponsorship opportunities available on all levels for conference and website. These rates are posted on the website.
Within the next few weeks, we will have our Conference Program available online for everyone to view, along with a special earlybird registration rate for members.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank you for your continued support and stay tuned to this column for more updates on Board activity.
Sincerely,
Carolina Rendeiro
